Hogwarts

I had the random urge to make a hogwarts themed visual novel last year and wrote this as inspo for the project: I looked up at the sky, filled with oranges, reds, and white puffy clouds. “It’s not actually the sky. It’s simply charmed to look like it.” Okay, scratch that. I look up at the ceiling in what was apparently the Great Hall, mesmerized by how realistic it looked, the floating candles, the sheer amount of it all was beyond anything I could have imagined a few months ago. The girl who had spoken was walking behind me. She had frizzy brown hair— a shade or two lighter than mine— and was about my height, maybe an inch shorter.  I slow down, letting the other children walk past me until I’m next to her and match my pace with hers. “How did you know that?” “I read about it in Hogwarts, A History. There’s a lot of interesting facts about the school in there. I have a copy in my trunks, if you’d like to borrow it?”  “Oh, are you sure you wouldn’t mind?” I ask worried. “No, not at al

Feast of Bones

this is technically a D&D one shot I created about 3 years ago but I have been recently thinking of turning it into a Visual Novel! General Plot/Common Knowledge In Sandonia:  You are invited to the annual “Feast Of Bones”, which is a very exclusive invitation only celebration honoring the two great heroes that have saved the nation you live in, Sandonia, countless times and brought it the peace and prosperity you have now. Sandonia is built on a huge sand bank in the ocean. As you can imagine it was not very structurally sound, that was one of the first ways the heroes saved Sandonia. Not much information is known about them before their time as heroes, but you are aware they were siblings who came from another nation, you aren’t quite sure which nation though, as everyone you ask has a different opinion. They’re names were Adina Bonelette and Arlan Bonelette, Adina being the younger of the two by a few years.  She specialized in weapons and physical fighting styles while Arlan w

The Grocery Store

another blurb from a few years ago: Anna walked away from the canned goods section of the grocery store, putting two cans of tomato soup into her shopping basket. Pulling out her phone she checked her shopping list for the last item she needed. Bananas. ‘I should really hurry if I don’t want Jess to bite my head off for being late’ Anna thought as she approached the pile of bananas on one of the many stands in the fruit section. Right as she was putting a bunch of bananas into her basket, about to head over to the checkout, someone let out a loud, exasperated sigh to Anna’s left.  Anna looked over to see a girl a few inches taller than her, with short brown hair and matching brown skin, wearing leggings and a hoodie glaring at the stand of apples in front of her. She was muttering something to herself too quietly for Anna to make out. But she seemed like she was trying to decide between two different kinds of apples. Anna was about to say something to the girl - she wasn't entirel

The Beast

a blurb I wrote last summer: I knew it could never work. That she’d never choose me. Not when she had a life outside these dreary walls. One that was warm, filled with light, and people she cared about. Not that she didn’t care about me too, because she did, at least I thought so. I saw it in her eyes every time she laughed at my poor excuses for jokes, everytime we huddled near the fireplace reading to each other on cold nights, everytime I brought her a bouquet of the least withered flowers I could gather from the decaying gardens.  The only times I could never find a trace of that warmth in her gaze was when I was transformed, when the Beast took over and I watched from the sidelines as I was consumed by my own magic. In those moments all I could see in her deep green eyes was fear. Fear and hatred. I couldn’t stand seeing her in pain. Pain that I caused, not just as the Beast, but as myself too. I forced her to stay here in this drafty, rundown castle as my companion. I was selfis
